My name is Dana Curry Jr. I am the owner/operator of The Zone Services. My passion for building began at a young age. My grandfather, a mechanical engineer, bought me my first erector set, sparking my love for construction. From there, my journey evolved. At the age of 18, in 2016, I began my career in construction, working with my family as a carpenter’s helper at BWI Airport installing expansion joints, dog bathrooms, and more.
I attended trade school in 2017 for building construction and graduated in 2018. I then joined a residential remodeling company specializing in kitchens and baths, where I found great fulfillment working directly with customers to improve the comfort and value of their homes, knowing the work I did would last for decades.
In 2019, I took the leap and started my own residential remodeling business. I quickly learned that establishing trust with customers sometimes meant starting out as a handyman to showcase my craftsmanship. I focused on providing high-quality work and building long-lasting relationships with clients always prioritizing customer satisfaction and the durability of the work and materials.
That same year, at 21, I built my own two-story tiny home from the ground up on my family’s land in Savage, MD, with the help of my brother-in-law and a friend.
My family has deep roots in Savage, MD, dating back to the mid-1800s. We live on a farm, and we also have a family cemetery in Laurel, MD
In 2022, I partnered with Built To Last, a veteran-owned and operated construction company based in Virginia and licensed in Maryland. Together, we strategically focused on growing the company and building a loyal customer base, specializing in bathroom and basement remodeling.
This year, The Zone Services has become membership-only so we can better serve our customers' needs and wants, while building generational trust. With a deep understanding of your home and your trust in us to care for it, we've extended our services to include automotive services and more.
